Enzo Valladares Pagliotti
Civil Engineer from the University of Chile (1992). He created VPA Structural Engineering in 1996, after working as an engineer in the office of Alberto Maccioni (1993) and as Chief Engineer in Petroleum S.A. (1994).
He developed his first independent projects as an advisor to the Management of Engineering and Development of Premix S.A., and as Partner Engineer of Fernando del Sol, with whom he developed the structural design of Explora Atacama Hotel (hotel designed by architect Germán del Sol that earned the 2002 award as Best Work of Latin American Architecture in the III Iberoamerican Biennale of Architecture).
To contribute to a better approach between Engineering and Architecture, Enzo Valladares has been Professor at the School of Design and Architecture at the Finis Terrae University; Visiting Professor at the University of Talca and Professor at the Andrés Bello University. In the latter, together with the Dean, Alberto Sato, he developed a program of courses in Physics and Applied Mathematics for designers. He has also been Visiting Professor in the Master of Engineering, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
